Final term begins in earnest!
After a lovely Easter break the staff and students of Arklow FETC returned to classes this week. Although many are still working online, we have welcomed some of our Youthreach learners back in to the centre. It is hard to believe that the final term for the 20-21 academic year is upon us, and that almost the entire year has been delivered online.
For the next few week staff will be working on completing delivery and finalising assessment for the summer certification periods. Working through exams, skills demonstrations and assessment with minor changes and adaptations to support learners in completing their certification during these challenging times.
Exams for VTO and BTEI are scheduled for the week of April 29th with strict centre guidelines in place, we hope that the final exams for the year will run closer to the end of May.
Planning for next year has begun, and applications for our upcoming courses taking new applications through our website. We continue to work with staff to develop skills for working in a online environment, unsure as to how things will look in September, we will continue to support our students through their return to education. We look forward to reaching the end of a busy term and taking a break for the summer months.
