VTOS is the next step in your journey to employment. Our free, practical, and person-focused QQI courses are designed to prepare you for work in a number of roles that are in-demand and market-driven.  Practical skills focus and personal training plans make VTOS the ideal training path for anyone wishing to upskill for a new job or to enter the workforce for the first time.

Through a combination of professional and personal development, our goal is to equip learners with both the confidence and technical experience to pursue their career of choice. Our experienced staff are here to guide learners on their journey to employment, and every learner’s individual needs are concentrated on in order to provide an effective learning experience.

Located at the Fernhill Plaza, Wexford Road, VTOS is situated within a short distance of the busy town of Arklow and all of the amenities and opportunities it has to offer.

VTOS Eligibility Criteria.

You are eligible for VTOS if you are:

• Aged 21 or over and

• In receipt of a Jobseekers Allowance/Benefit or

• Have been signing for credits for at least six months or

• Are a dependent spouse of an eligible person or

• In Receipt of a One-Parent Family Payment, Disability Allowance, Illness Benefit or Invalidity Pension for at least six months or

• Are in receipt of a Blind Person’s Pension, Deserted Wife’s Benefit, Widow’s/Widower’s Contributory/Non-Contributory Pension for at least six months. *Conditions may apply.

We intake students twice a year, in September and January, however applications are accepted all year round.  Courses are flexible and support learner in achieving their individual goals through classroom and workplaced based assessment. Participants may receive a VTOS Training Allowance throughout your time at Arklow FETC on a VTOS course. Annual Calendar available here
